We at igus® specialize in wear-resistant, lubrication-free and low-maintenance components made from high-performance plastics for moving applications of all kinds. Every year, we introduce a large number of new products that ensure the considerable, steady growth and sustainable corporate success of igus GmbH. The focus of these many new products and product range additions is particularly on specific applications that we improve technically and/or solve cost-effectively, true to our slogan "Tech Up, Cost Down". In addition to concrete, tested new products, we also regularly present design studies, i.e. ideas that have been molded into initial drafts in order to sound out market potential. Here, too, there is usually already a specific challenging application in the background.

Conserve resources, extend the product life cycle
igumid CG LW is the further development of our recycling material igumid CG and is now the new base material for our entire E2.1 standard range. With the same specifications, this sustainable material incorporates both the "end-of-life" energy chain collected as part of our chainge program and other recycled plastic, e.g. from fishing nets.
For optimized hose guide
For extending the inner height and for guiding suction hoses. Extender crossbar clip can also be retrofitted to existing applications if required.
More space for hydraulics
Expansion of the successful E2.1 product range. Closed (non-openable) versions now also available with an additional inner height of 48mm. Cost-effective with increased additional load
Flexible and strong for the smallest installation spaces
Cables are also required for short movements, such as the displacement of electrical objects. To give them the longest possible service life, we have developed our one-piece e-chain® with integrated mounting brackets.
Stability, lightweight, swarf-resistant
The new L-version R4Q.64L, which was developed on the basis of the successful E4Q series, can now easily be made swarf-resistant with the new lids/shelves.
Guide large hoses and cables safely
Adapt the energy chain individually to the hose diameter. Easy, tool-free installation and hose replacement if required. The use of brackets instead of crossbars increases the inner space of the energy chain enormously, so that even large suction hoses can be routed safely.
Optimum weight/stability ratio
In contrast to standard hybrid chains with steel components, the plates of this energy chain are made of carbon and plastic, which makes it exceptionally lightweight. Despite its light weight, carbon is very robust and can withstand high loads.
Maximum stability for smaller installation spaces
Expansion of the successful YE product range. igus compact hybrid chains (best mix of plastic and steel) in the size with inner height 28mm and now also 32mm.
More inner height for extreme loads and maximum stability
Based on the successful YE product range of igus® hybrid chains (best mix of plastic and steel) in a new size with an inner height of 200mm.
ISO Class 4 after 15 million double strokes in the dry cleanroom
Together with the Fraunhofer IPA, we have developed two new certificates that confirm the cleanroom suitability of the igus® e-chain® in long-term tests: the two new certificates are divided into pre-aging and aging behavior.
Small cleanroom all-rounder
The series for the highest cleanroom requirements, now also available in inner height 22mm. Optimized with a full-bridge design in the outer radius and as standard with crossbars plus interior separation made of iglide® J, the best glide surface for any cable jacket or hose material.
Roller support without rocker for cost efficiency on long travels
Lowest particle emissions thanks to optimised roller surfaces and tribo-optimised material. Cost savings thanks to fixed roller - only half the number of supports with rocker required. IPA certification of a complete system with four supports and E6.52 with cleanroom Class ISO 5
For ESD-sensitive parts in the cleanroom
New black e-skin flat in the SKF12 size types as openable and fully closed versions. The discharge capability prevents electrostatic fields as well as abrupt discharge due to the movement of the e-skin® flat.
Variable strain relief
The e-skin® flat is being expanded to include two new variable strain relief systems: SKFC.SR.V25 and SKFC.SR.V10. These new versions are flatter than the previous SKFC.SR.V50 and therefore offer more flexibility in the mounting bracket of the e-skin® flat system.
Straight run guaranteed
The layer holder guides several layers of e-skin® flat straight in the track, even with very long unsupported lengths. The e-skin® flat layers remain on top of each other and can utilize the unsupported properties of the e-skin® flat with a support chain, even if they are not installed in every layer.
Increasing application conditions in the cleanroom system e-skin flat
The new e-skin® flat with support chain with a radius of 55mm not only expands the radius portfolio but also enables the solution of increasing application conditions and easier assembly by using pins, including easier extension and shortening of the e-skin® flat with support chain.
More space for small rooms
Thanks to the specially developed polymer material igumer SKS, the e-skin soft fulfils the highest cleanroom class. Now available in 100mm width for the version with 28mm inner height. There are now 4 inner heights: 20mm, 24mm, 40mm and the inner height 28mm with 2 widths 68mm and 100mm.
ESD protection for ISO 1 cleanrooms
Proven e-skin® soft now made of dissipative material. This prevents the formation of electrostatic fields and the abrupt discharge caused by the movement of the black e-skin soft due to the material. The e-skin® soft ESD is suitable for the highest cleanroom class with a small installation space.
Guiding more load faster in the tightest of spaces
Guide many different cables in the tightest of spaces, now for 100% more additional load at higher speeds. Different media and diameters guided in one system.
Integration made easy
Cable drum in igus design, with reduced maintenance requirements and optimum protection of the guided cable. Intended for integration into existing structures and thus reduced to the technological core without the need for a separate housing, in order to save weight, space and, last but not least, costs.
Compact cable protection
Compact low-cost cable retraction system without sliding contact ring for small cables. The elongated and flat design makes it ideal for use under desks or on the wall as a cable extension for charging cables.
Optimum protection for charging cables
Cable retraction system for clean cable management at the fast charging station.
For particularly tight installation spaces
The new plug-in guidelok slimline guide trough system for vertically travelling energy chains in extremely tight installation spaces.
More space, more cable, more distance
New width for 13mm more space in the chain so that more cable can be guided in the application. Distance between energy chain and crane supports increased by an additional 10mm
Guide long distances safely
Safe guidance of side-mounted energy chains, even over very long distances. Channels on both sides, both the moving end and the fixed end.
