Q: Has the e-skin® been approved for cleanroom applications?

Yes, we tested the SK28 , SKS28 , and SKF12 series in the Fraunhofer IPA test centre for semiconductor devices on the basis of ISO Class 14644-1 and obtained ISO Class 1 certification for all products.

Corrugated e-skin® tube is available in an enclosed version and a version with chambers that can be opened individually. This flexibility is a unique innovation on the market so far. Furthermore, e-skin has sufficient inherent rigidity and a defined bend radius (55 to 100mm). The oval geometry ensures lateral stability. Short unsupported lengths are possible, even in small installation spaces. Conventional corrugated hoses do not offer this possibility. In addition, the energy supply is very quiet. Its noise level is only 29dB(A), 5dB(A) lower than that of conventional clean cables.

Bending test

The standard bending tests show how flexible the e-skin® soft is. It only bends, even under loads that would break other energy chains.

Noise level measurement

This test shows how quiet 'e-skin' corrugated tubes and 'e-skin® flat' cleanroom cables are. Compared to flat ribbon cables of competitors, the noise level of the e-skin® flat is only 29dB(A).
